Our parents and grandparents may have worked for and retired from the same company, earning their twenty-five year gold watch and taking their progression up the corporate ladder for granted. Today, however, we must take on the challenging responsibility for managing our own careers. Presented over a period of three weeks, with practical, personal and useful homework assignments between each session, this seminar addresses personal, professional and industry factors. Career Management and Development models are presented and the participant's skills and interests are identified through enlightening hands-on exercises. Techniques on how to articulate skills and accomplishments are demonstrated and practiced, as well as giving and getting career-related feedback. Case studies provide hands-on skills training in Career Management methods. Participants make at least one actionable commitment before the seminar is over, which will be followed up with a partner by a pre-arranged date.
