Introduction
This workshop for the spouses of individuals in transition begins with an explanation of
the ground rules, establishes confidentiality, and gives the participants an opportunity
to share who they are and what they would like to get out of the meeting. We want to
learn from the spouse because family and career are related.
Topics:
How has the job search impacted the relationship?
What characteristics of the relationship are useful to the job search process?
What things are problematic?
The Couples Workshop facilitates an exchange of information between the job-seeker and his/her spouse. Participants discover how to express what they want from their partner to make things easier. Questions and anxieties can be freely aired in a neutral environment, without the spouse appearing to be "nagging" or attempting to control the campaign.
