The need for counseling skills as part of leadership competencies surfaces in the workplace frequently enough to demand our attention. Being able to recognize when to recommend professional help and when to "be there" as a manager are skills that are helpful to the manager and the employee. Participants in this workshop will practice specific common examples of counseling situations and get insight into their own unique leadership style.
BENEFITS
Participants will be provided with examples of situations in which referral to outside
resources is advisable. They will also have the opportunity to practice their newly
acquired counseling skills and learn from feedback from the group and the instructor.
